Moving to or from England has not become easier after Brexit in 2021. The Swedish moving company PDB Logistics AB has been working with the Dutch moving company Henneken for years. PDB is the real Scandinavia specialist and Henneken the real UK specialist.
Moving requires a lot of preparation and well-thought-out planning. It is understandable that you are dreading this, because an international move to or from the United Kingdom is not something you do every day. Fortunately, International Moving Company Henneken does that at a weekly service. Every year we carry out approximately 500 removals from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the Netherlands and Belgium to the UK/Ireland and back. We know everything about the customs procedures that apply since Brexit. Because we carry out so many removals to and from the UK, we can combine many removals in one trip, with the moving vans well filled with moving customers both there and back. This means that we can offer attractive quotations. After all, the costs of the ride are divided among several customers. International Moving Company Henneken and PDB Logistics AB are moving specialists and can take care of your move down to the last detail.
Henneken and PDB are proud of their high customer satisfaction score and we owe this score to our dedicated employees. Moving is number 5 in the stress top 10. Working in England/Scandinavia as a Dutch citizen
England/Scandinavia are popular countries to work. There are a number of reasons for this. Besides the language, the economy is also healthy and strong. Moreover, in England and Scandinavia, interaction between people is much more polite. People treat each other respectfully, not only on the street, but also in the workplace. A final reason why many people want to work there is that it is relatively easy to start your own business.

The main reasons why people emigrate or move have to do with their work or their family. For people who are going to work there, it is often more practical to live there than to travel back and forth every day (even if the flight time is short). In addition, studies are also a reason for many people to move. There are a number of well-known universities in England and Scandinavia, where many foreign students study.
England has a private pension system. This means that everyone in England arranges his/her own pension. Employers are not involved in this. In England you decide what you pay for your pension, and therefore also how much pension you can expect in the future.
However, Denmark differs from the Netherlands in the way the amount of that state pension is determined. In the Netherlands this is a fixed amount (the AOW), but in Denmark the pensioner receives a basic pension with an income-related supplement on top.
In Norway you receive a full basic pension if you have lived in Norway for at least 40 years. For example, if you have only lived in Norway for five years, you will only receive 5/40 of the basic pension. The basic pension is equal to a basic amount to be determined annually. In 2022 that will be NOK 111,477 per year.
If you are emigrating to Sweden, it is important to take your pension into account. How is the pension arranged in Sweden, when do you accrue pension and what are the consequences for your Dutch AOW upon emigration? The link below explains it.
In England and Scandinavia, different regulations apply in many areas compared to the regulations in the Netherlands. Even when it comes to taxes, it is very important that you thoroughly understand the differences before you move.
If you are moving, it does not have to be expensive at all. For example, are you already familiar with our part load rides? We transport small loads from several customers at the same time. This not only saves costs, but together we also protect the environment!
